Time and Fun
So so much to do, and time is racing by! This has been my fleeting thought recently and surprisingly it did not bring with it added stress. In the days of being a CEO, lots to do and time was often a recipe for additional stress.
The beautiful thing recently, is that with each day, a new creation has been made, so the “time” has been extremely enjoyable…I have been sewing for nearly a week…And made amazing new garments that even I did not know I actually could!
I am wondering if this association has been made by yourself – that time, if spent creating, is time that feels like fun.
Creations
We often hear, just try, but fear gets in our way. So this last week, I tried…. (and I guess I did not mind failing at what I was attempting) and voila, things that fit my girls are appearing in front of me.
Some of it has felt like guess work – well “educated guess work” and some of it has required youtube searches, and a bit of improvising, and trial and error patchwork to cover over mistakes. Like who knew a butt is larger than the front for a pair of trousers? – until you cut it too short, and things don’t fit! lol. This is how we learn.
Mistakes and Learnings
Some of the things I have done have been hilarious, but I am learning from every mistake, and upon reflection, I see why it arose, so the learning is even deeper, than had I got it all right the first time around.
So, although, I am ready for bed, tired and delighted too with these creative efforts this week, I felt to share, how enjoyable new endeavours can be. One more day left, before my husbands’ nephew wedding celebrations begin…….and I will never forget the association with happiness, creativity, and time. Happiness cannot be grabbed in the future – it is here, right under our noses, in the present moment.
