Understanding Our Personality

Unless you drop your personality you will not be able to find your individuality. Individuality is given by existence; personality is imposed by the society. Personality is social convenience.

“Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. Individuality has the quality of the lion; the lion moves alone. The sheep are always in the crowd, hoping that being in the crowd will feel cozy. Being in the crowd one feels more protected, secure. If somebody attacks, there is every possibility in a crowd to save yourself. But alone? Only the lions move alone.

And every one of you is born a lion, but the society goes on conditioning you, programming your mind as a sheep. It gives you a personality, a cozy personality, nice, very convenient, very obedient. Society wants slaves, not people who are absolutely dedicated to freedom. Society wants slaves because all the vested interests want obedience.”

The Outward World

In relationships we look outward. And what we see is very clear. A person using false ego power. A person being insincere. A person not caring although pretending to. A person afraid and insecure. A person manipulating and in control. A person jealous and dragging you down. A person acting self important. A person without a vision. A person holding onto their pain. A person who want others to serve them. A person afraid to say no. A person who doesn’t want to disappoint. A person who wants to please others more than self respect………

The list goes on, and on and on!

And yet what we see, is what we are! We just don’t know it. Our unconscious thought forms create all this “stuff” around us and it all helps us to see our own adopted personalities.

The Inward Unity

In our family life this above struggle happens so easily, until you are able to transcend the limitations that the ego mind you have can see and become aware of our human unity.

Presence to just be here, arises when you become just a neutral witness to all that arises, without judgment or complaint. But for this you have to become aware and grow in consciousness. This is how you become an individual.

I can be a witness, a non judgemental awareness of all that is, if I am consciousness .
